Braddock Point Bed & Breakfast

In searching Google Maps for a place to photograph the sunset along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, I discovered a wonderful gem called Braddock Point Bed & Breakfast. Originally built in 1896, the Braddock Point Lighthouse was eventually converted to the Bed & Breakfast it is today. Although we did not actually stay the night, we were granted permission to wander the grounds and photograph this beautiful location.

As the sun sets over the lake, that blue-orange glow makes for quite a sight…

Braddock Point Lighthouse is one of only a few functioning lighthouses in the US.

As we watched the sun set, even though we were not paying guests, we were offered lemonade and s’mores by the very friendly and hospitable innkeepers.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to watch the sunset from…

The patio seen above is host to the evening fire and marshmallow roast.

Since we were not actually staying at the B&B, I did not want to wander around inside but from what I did see, the decor was very detailed and interesting. We hope to have the opportunity to spend a night here next season to enjoy the rest of the amenities offered at the Braddock Point Bed and Breakfast!
